Your Best Self is Your Higher Self
The holiday season is upon us. By now your decorations are up. Your plans are made. The recipes are chosen and the people you'll be gathering with are all set to go.
For so many, this is such a great time of the year! All the food, the festivities, the parties, shopping, gift wrapping, and sitting around the table for a great meal with people you may not have seen for quite some time.
I want to remind you of the value of who you really are. That people love you, enjoy you, and receive something just from being in your presence. Are you planning to take care of yourself this coming week?
Make sure to take time for lots of self-care. Make it your highest priority. Avoid pushing yourself too far. Book a massage. Go get a facial. Just all by yourself to luxuriate and relax. This is a marathon you know, not a sprint.
More importantly, whatever you have going on in your life right now - whether this is going to be a special, happy holiday or not quite what you expected - lift up into your Higher Self by making sure you are always tuning in to your own energy and needs.
In this way, you'll be able to serve others best.
They may just need you this year. They may just be stretched, stressed, exhausted, and not know how to cope with it all. When you are fully and well taken care of yourself, you will see how calm and how strong you can be for others.
Just like this plant a little overwhelmed by the snow and ice, you too can rise above, and still show your true Self.
Remember the purpose of this season. Remember why Christ came. To show us the way to forgiveness, charity, and loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.
This doesn't mean that you overgive, or that you run yourself ragged being the go-to for everyone's needs. Neither does it mean you have to be in charge of it all, and do it all - unless you really want to, of course.
Doing too much is not what this season is about. Try to monitor all you have going on, and keep your Higher Self in mind when making any decisions, or in having any responses to challenges you may face with others.
God loves you. And is your highest Source of being. Enjoy your holidays to the fullest, and be available to be there for others should they need you. They might just be secretly desiring a shoulder to lean on, an open ear for listening without ever expressing it verbally. You'll need to tune in energetically to find out for yourself.
I hope this message finds you well. I hope you will remember to make yourself your highest priority so that you can then be a shining Light for others as well.
You are a gift to so many, and you probably don't realize that. Be that gift, and share of yourself wisely, and may it all come back to you multiplied.
Much Love and Many Blessings for this week,
