If you'd like to listen to this article, you can do so here:
I'm here to talk to you about self-love today, perhaps in a way that you've never heard of before, and so bear with me a while.
There's a lot of benefit to self-care, that we know. Too often, too many people are giving to others way too much, overextending themselves way too much, and believing that they're 'just fine'.
But ultimately self-care is neglected until it becomes a near crisis.
Of course, this matters a great deal. We all know that we can care better for others when we care for ourselves first.
But I want to go deeper and talk about Love, and the love of Who You Really Are. This Love of Who You Really Are is not something "out there", but is actually, and always has been, right inside of you. In the deepest parts of yourself.
How often have you put aside true aspects of yourself because of how it has been judged in the past, and so, therefore, you learned early on that: "You can't do that!" or, "You can't be like that", or "You can't think that way! No way!"
And so we learned quite early to judge against ourselves as others did. That being our true selves was something that we had to put away, and hide from everyone else.
There is a reason for this. And it's not that the other people who judged you were wrong, misjudging, or were against you.
It's that you had to learn how to find and love your True Self more so that you could begin to come from that very place in making all decisions about who you are in this world.
It's no accident that you were met with resistance. It was actually meant to be this way.
How strong is your resolve?
How passionate are you about nurturing, and protecting who you are?
Do you know that there are special aspects of yourself right now that are feeling neglected, abandoned and ignored?
Would you do that to someone or something that you truly loved?
I think not.
So it's time to turn a page. It's time to reveal to your heart and mind the most precious aspects of who you are so that they can come into the Light, and be appreciated once again.
You are a Holy Child of God.
All the good that you can create in the world cannot really happen if you are still abandoning your true Self. Because it is here that your gifts lie.
You may only recall the time you were judged, or ridiculed, or shut down. But remember this: If you continue to abandon your true Self, it will lead to feelings of being abandoned, alone, and depression can set in.
This is what happens when you're not experiencing the fulfillment that your Soul would have you experience.
True fulfillment comes from receiving impulses from your Soul and then extending those outward through the actions you take.
In the simplest of terms, think of a musician improvising music they've never played before, but can hear it from deep within, and then express it outward. Others will hear it, and feel the soulfulness, and appreciate it as well.
It can be like this for you too, but first what's required is very simple: Learn to love all those deep aspects of yourself that you feel aren't worthy of love.
Practice this over and over, and then watch your world change.
Watch yourself attract miracles you never thought could be possible for you before.
That's the way God works.
Much Love, and Many Blessings,
