Lesson 67 Love created me like itself. Today's idea is a complete and accurate statement of what you are. I am constantly learning from the lessons in A Course in Miracles. Today's lesson, #67 (of 365) asks us to completely reconsider who we think we are, and where we think we come from. We are not asked to do anything other than to consider the proposal that love created us like itself. In considering this we're asked to sit quietly, with our eyes closed, and ponder the idea until we can arrive at a place of thoughtlessness. This is not necessarily easy, although it could be. The Course takes us along a journey that begins with a "Lesson 1", which encompasses - like all the lessons following it - an idea or set of ideas that initially can be really jarring to the mind. If we are going to learn something new about ourselves and our place in the world, we are going to have to start entertaining ideas that are a little foreign to us. But because A Course in Miracles is literally a course in accepting miracles into your own life and embracing the ability to extend them out to others as well, it looks like we are going to have to embrace some ideas about ourselves and the world that will not only be jarring, but will completely turn upside down any ideas we have had about ourselves, anything we have been taught about our world, who we are and what we came here to be, do, or have. In order to accomplish this, the curriculum of the Course is very beautifully designed to methodically take you, one step at a time, through daily lessons to get to that end. By simply following the guidance provided, including using the supporting text materials, you will slowly and securely turn around upside-down thinking about yourself and the world you live in. The Course doesn't ask you to sacrifice anything other than your own way of thinking and perceiving the world. By doing so, you will slowly dissolve the concept that the world is somehow your enemy and that you must comply with all that you see around you in order to survive in its insanity. You will now have greater access to the Source from where you have come and from what you have been created. The world and its perceived reality are insane, and so therefor as we are playing our part in it, it is best to understand that we need not participate in its insanity but instead come from a place of Love. The Love that created us like itself is our only salvation from this insane world. As we grow and learn from the Course, in its day-to-day lessons in training - or rather, re-training - the mind and the heart, we grow a little closer to that place within ourselves where God abides. The God that created us: Love. Many blessings,
